Recipes - Jim Beam “WHAT A BURGER”
Made with: Jim Beam Marinade & Jim Beam Steak Sauce.
2 lbs ground sirloin
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
8oz mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4oz Jim Beam Original Marinade
2oz Jim Beam Steak Sauce
dash Jim Beam Hot Sauce (optional)
8 slices Jim Beam Backyard Buns
- Cook the oil, onion, mushrooms, marinade, steak sauce and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally
- When the onions become translucent, mix 4 tablespoons of the liquid into the burger meat and form into patties
- Grill over indirect heat according to BBQ 101
- When the burgers are done, place them on a “backyard bun”, smother with the onion and mushroom mixture and enjoy the best burger you’ve ever eaten
This recipe is also excellent for ground turkey, chicken breast or tuna steak. If using chicken or tuna, allow the meat to marinate in the onion/mushroom mixture for an hour before grilling.
(Serves 4)
