Vita Announces Stock Purchase

CHICAGO, IL (April 17, 2008) – Vita Food Products announced today that an entity controlled by Howard E. Bedford, a member of the Company's Board of Directors and the beneficial owner of a majority of its outstanding shares of common stock, today acquired 315,900 additional shares of the Company's common stock. The shares were purchased in a single private transaction at a material premium to the current market price of the Company's stock.

Vita Announces Loan Amendment

CHICAGO, IL(April 8, 2008) – Vita Food Products announced that on March 31, 2008, it entered into an eleventh amendment to its loan agreement with LaSalle Bank National Association. Pursuant to the amendment, the Bank has agreed to extend the termination date of the revolving loan and various term loans issued to the Company under the Loan and Security Agreement dated as of September 5, 2003, as amended (the “Loan Agreement”), from April 1, 2008 to April 1, 2010.
